Dear Forum Members,
I’d like to thank all of you for the honor of being President of the Dallas Woman’s Forum. Representing this wonderful organization means a great deal to me.
The Dallas Woman’s Forum has achieved many things over the past years since its inception when Mrs. E. P. Turner organized it. As quoted in the book A Quarter of a Century of The Dallas Woman’s Forum ,“She was ably supported by a band of eager, enthusiastic club women.” Today I find those same eager, enthusiastic women that fill the Alexander Mansion. We are continuing the legacy of Mrs. Turner.
I would like to announce “the year of the member.” We have so many wonderful ladies in our organization that have a multitude of talents. Let’s get to know each other! I hope that you will reach out to a new person at a meeting that you haven’t seen there before. Get to know her and introduce her around. We’ll be starting a mentoring program where new members will be paired with an existing member so she has a friendly face at meetings and events. A mentor could share the goals of the Dallas Woman’s Forum, give the new member a personal tour of the Mansion, or ask her to coffee. When we share our enthusiasm it becomes contagious. Our enthusiasm will spread to having new members. Let’s make Dallas Woman’s Forum the place to be!
Come and join me in “the year of the member” while we plan events for members, work together on projects, laugh and have fun together.
Sincerely,
Robin Miller
Dallas Woman’s Forum President 2025-2027
