2026 Volunteer Dates

The New Year brings Dallas Life Foundation back to our Community Outreach calendar! What is Dallas Life? It’s a facility that serves people (many of them families) experiencing homelessness. Clients live there, take classes, go out to work or work at the campus. DISD sends buses for the school-aged children, and the littlest kids have child care on site.

It is a safe and very pleasant place to volunteer, and DWF has been volunteering now for two years.

Once per month we serve lunch for clients and staff. We don’t cook it, just serve it. We meet at the Mansion at 10:45 AM, drive about 10 minutes to DL, serve until about 12:30 PM, then go out and enjoy a lunch just ourselves.

The only things you need to bring are a heart for helping and a smile.

Opportunity Dates for the 2026 year are as follows:

1. Wednesday, January 14 – 4 slots available

2. Friday, February 20th – 4 slots available (Coordinated by Patti Hurt)

3. Wednesday, March 11th – 4 slots available

4. Tuesday, April 14th – 4 slots available

5. Tuesday, May 5th – 4 slots available (Coordinated by Patti Hurt)

This is a wonderful opportunity to give back, and the people are so happy to see us! Please take into consideration that slots fill up fast, so contact Andrea to secure your spot!
