Ever wanted to sit down with the author and just talk books? Now you have the chance! Please join us for Lunch with an Author sponsored by the Literary Department. We will enjoy a light lunch after Margo discusses the story concepts, publishing her books and a wonderful presentation of the history of the novel.

Having grown up in North Central Texas, Dr. Margo Bond Collins attended the University of New Orleans, where she completed a B.A. in English before continuing her education at the University of North Texas, where she earned a Ph.D. in English with a specialization in Restoration and Eighteenth-Century British Literature focusing on women writers, particularly the rise of the novel as a literary genre.

After earning her doctorate, she taught literature and writing at the collegiate level in Texas, New York, Alabama, and online from 1999-2017. During that time, she also completed and published several novels.

In 2017, she left teaching to pursue writing full-time and has completed over fifty novels. Since then, several of her books have been bestsellers on the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestseller lists. She is a hybrid author, publishing both through traditional publishing houses and through her own publishing imprint.

Under her own name, she has published over fifty books in speculative fiction, including urban fantasy; contemporary, paranormal, science fiction, and fantasy romance; and paranormal mystery. She also writes contemporary romance under the pen name London Kingsley.
