When you rent the Alexander Mansion, you receive exclusive access to key areas of the Mansion for the duration of your event.
Spaces Included
- First Floor Areas: Foyer, Stair Hall, Grand Staircase, Writing Room, French Room, Dining Room, Solarium, and Library.
- Second Floor Areas: Blair Ballroom, Clark Room, and 2 Dressing Suites
- Front Porch and Lawn for welcoming guest and photo opportunities.
- First Floor Prep Areas: Butler’s Pantry and Kitchen
Capacity & Guest Comfort
- Up to 100 guests for a seated dinner, tea, luncheon, or ceremony in the Blair Ballroom, with room for a dance floor
- Up to 175 guests for a cocktail-style reception
- Private restrooms available on each floor
- First Floor ramp access is available for guests with mobility needs. Due to the historic nature of the house, we do not have elevators to access the second floor.
Tables & Chairs Provided
We provide the following for your use at no additional charge:
- Gold Chiavari chairs
- Metal chairs with padded seats and backs for use with chair covers
- Ten 60” round tables, each seating 8 to 10 guests
- Eight 48” round tables, each seating 4 guests
- Four 72” x 30” rectangular tables, each seating 6 guests
- One 108” x 42” rectangular dining table, seating up to 12 guests
- One 80” x 42” rectangular dining table, seating up to 6 guests
- Five 30″ round stand-up-height cocktail tables

Preserving a Historic Treasure
The Alexander Mansion is over 120 years old and one of the few remaining historic homes in Dallas open for public events. Because of its age, some extra care is required.
We’ve created guidelines to help protect the original architecture, furnishings, and finishes—from the delicate stained-glass windows to the vintage hardwood floors. These policies ensure that the Alexander Mansion can continue welcoming guests for generations to come.
We will review these requirements with you when we meet to discuss your event. We appreciate your understanding and partnership in helping us preserve this irreplaceable space.
Rental Rates & Details
Wedding & Reception Rentals
Friday or Saturday wedding rate is $3,995 and includes:
- 4 hour event time
- 2 hours for setup and 1 hour for cleanup
- A complimentary 1 hour wedding rehearsal during the week before the wedding
Sunday through Thursday wedding rate is $1,995 and includes:
- 3 hour event time
- 2 hours for setup and 1 hour for cleanup
- A 1 hour wedding rehearsal during the week before the wedding is available for $400.
Additional time is available for $400 per hour.
Other Event Rentals
Friday or Saturday event rate is $3,995 and includes:
- 4 hour event time
- 2 hours for setup and 1 hour for cleanup
Sunday through Thursday event rate is $1,995 and includes:
- 3 hour event time
- 2 hours for setup and 1 hour for cleanup
Additional time is available for $400 per hour.
Required Deposits and Other Fees
- 50% Rental Fee Deposit to reserve the date
- $600 Refundable Security Deposit
- $350 Security Officer Fee for 4 hour minimum. Additional time is $75 per hour.
- $250 Cleaning Fee
Availability
- Events must conclude by 10 pm due to neighborhood noise restrictions.
- The Alexander Mansion may be rented year-round, seven days a week, subject to availability.
- During the Christmas season, from late November through early January, the Mansion is dressed up in its finest with holiday decorations including Christmas trees, lights, and garlands.
Add-Ons & Options
- Photography sessions on a different day from the day of event are $125 per hour with a 2 hour minimum.
- Multiple wedding ceremony location options are available on the First Floor, Main Stair, and Second Floor Ballroom.
- Outdoor tents may be set up in the front yard.
Catering & Event Vendors
Catering is exclusively provided by CN Catering, known for beautiful presentation and custom menu options. Their team coordinates seamlessly with ours to ensure your food and beverage service is smooth and stress-free.
Bartenders: TABC-certified bartenders are required for alcohol service and will be provided by the caterer.
Florists, bands, DJs, photographers, and all other vendors must be submitted for approval by the DWF Event Coordinator.

We will connect you with your event manager at CN Catering. They will help you select and personalize the menu and beverage options for your event.
On the day of the event, event coordinators from the Dallas Woman’s Forum and CN Catering will be present to make sure all details are coordinated smoothly.
