After lunch… decorating the Alexander Mansion!
Because the DWF will be in the process of dressing up the mansion for the Christmas festivities, and will likely be in some state of disarray, this meeting will go casual & comfy & take place on the 2nd floor only.
The Social Committee theme for the November 12 luncheon will be “Denim and Decorating.” Put away your dresses, pumps, and pearls and wear comfy denim to the meeting with a plan to stay after the luncheon to help begin our Christmas Tea decorating. Let’s DO IT IN DENIM! As the saying goes, “Many hands make light work.” So if you can stay after the meeting to help with any facet of the decorating, we will put you to work! (If you are not a “decorator”, don’t worry – we have seasoned veterans on site who will gladly provide direction for all worker bees. We just need willing hearts & hands.)

Program
Patriot Paws Service Dogs will provide a service dog demonstration
and share their important mission.
The Dallas Woman’s Forum is excited to host Patriot Paws for our November 12th Member Meeting. The mission of Patriot PAWS is to train and provide Service Dogs of the highest quality at no cost to disabled American Veterans and others with mobile disabilities in order to help restore their physical and emotional independence.
From prison cells to college campuses, Patriot PAWS has developed innovative and effective partnerships to support their mission to help train Service Dogs of the highest quality for disabled Veterans.
The member program will include Patriot Paw’s background, services provided, and – most fun of all – a live demonstration by one of their canine members! You don’t want to miss this program!

We will be collecting money for the Christmas pajama event with Landauer ChildCareCenter. A donation of $20 (or more) would be appreciated. We will be purchasing a set of pajamas for each of the students (current enrollment is 43). Please contact Andrea Wolek if you have questions.

We are also looking for Gift card Donations for our Christmas Tea Raffle.
•Gift Card Tree – Seeking gift card donations of $20+ (variety of vendors such as Amazon, Visa, retailers, restaurants, etc.)
•Depending on the number received, we’ll put together an assortment for the tree(s) – we’re hoping to have enough for several trees.
•Receipt or printed verification of balance needed for each card.
Please bring any gift card donations to the November Meeting.

A ‘Dining In Denim’ experience! Due to our excitement to begin our Christmas decorating, our lunch will be a casual ‘no fuss, no muss’ affair so the decorating festivities can begin!
The only decision you need to make is your sandwich and bread choice; the Social Committee will take care of the rest. Please select from the following options in the reservations form.

The lunch is on the main floor of the Alexander Mansion. There is an accessible ramp on the right hand side of the front porch.
