The Alexander Mansion, home to the Dallas Woman’s Forum, is raising funds for a new roof. This fundraising event will treat guests to an exclusive tour of the historic Alexander Mansion, a local treasure which is a part of Dallas history, a topic in which Skip Hollandsworth is well versed.
Skip Hollandsworth has received numerous awards, including the National Headliners Award, the national John Hancock Award for Excellence in Business and Financial Journalism, the City and Regional Magazine gold award for feature writing, and the Texas Institute of Letters O. Henry award for magazine writing. He has been a finalist four times for a National Magazine Award, the magazine industry’s equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize, and in 2010 he won the National Magazine Award in feature writing. In 2012 the movie “Bernie” was released, which Skip co-wrote with director Richard Linklater. In 2016 his book, a true historical thriller “The Midnight Assassin” was published and became a New York Times bestseller.
